(Daily Jurat)Security forces killed 11 India-backed terrorists in two different operations in Balochistan’s Turbat and Mastung districts, security sources said on Wednesday.
During the operation carried out in the Kank Valley area of Mastung district, nine terrorists were killed, said sources.The remaining two terrorists were killed in a separate operation in Turbat district, the sources said.The sources said militants attempted to attack a security post in the Kank Valley, prompting security forces to launch an operation.Two militants were killed during the initial action, while forces pursued those who attempted to flee, resulting in the killing of seven more terrorists, according to the sources.Three motorcycles, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists, they said.
One soldier was injured during an exchange of fire and was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.In another operation, security forces killed two Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Turbat city of Balochistan, security sources said.
The IBO, part of Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, was conducted after security forces received information about militants’ presence in the area, according to security sources.During the operation, security forces and the India-sponsored militants exchanged fire, resulting in the killing of two terrorists.The sources said that forces were pursuing militants who fled the area, with a search operation also underway.
They said that operations against militants were continuing with an unwavering resolve.The operation comes a day after security forces killed six India-backed terrorists during Operation Shaaban-II in the Saran Tangi area of Balochistan.
During the operation, security forces also detained nine suspected individuals, according to security sources.Before that, Security forces foiled an attempt by terrorists to disrupt public movement on the N-25 highway near Kalat, killing five militants and safely recovering 23 hostages.
The terrorists had established a checkpoint on the highway to abduct people, extort money and seize vehicles, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on September 20.Security forces responded promptly and killed five terrorists during the operation, while a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from the militants’ hideout.
Six trucks, three buses and two cars were recovered from the site, according to the military’s media wing.Pakistan has experienced a sharp increase in terror attacks, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan particularly affected, following the Afghan Taliban’s return to power.
According to a report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), the two provinces remained the country’s main hotspots for violence during the second quarter of 2026, with KP emerging as the worst-affected region.KP and Balochistan together accounted for nearly 96% of all violence-related fatalities recorded during the quarter, the report said. Of the total deaths, more than 61% (475) were reported in KP, while Balochistan accounted for 34% (265).
KP also recorded the highest number of violent incidents, with 151 cases, or 57% of the nationwide total. Balochistan followed with 94 incidents, accounting for 35%, underscoring the concentration of militant activity in the two provinces.
