ogra announce petrol prices
(Daily Jurat)The government on Wednesday raised the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6.88 and Rs5.62 per litre, respectively, citing fluctuations in international oil markets.
Following the revision, the price of petrol has increased to Rs391.22 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now be sold at Rs421.45 per litre.According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the revised fuel prices will remain effective for September 17.
Ogra has also begun publishing daily petroleum prices on its website to improve transparency and allow changes in international oil prices to be passed on to consumers more quickly.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said the daily prices are based on a seven-day average of international market prices, in line with international practice.
