petroleum increase today
(Daily Jurat)The federal government on Monday kept petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices unchanged at Rs327.62 per litre and Rs380.86 per litre, respectively.The government continues to charge Rs114 per litre in taxes and duties on petrol and Rs100 per litre on HSD.According to a Petroleum Division notification, the prices will remain in effect for August 11.The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has begun publishing daily petroleum prices on its website to improve transparency and allow international price changes to be passed on to consumers more quickly.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said the daily prices are based on a seven-day average of international market prices, in line with international practice.
