ISLAMABAD (NNI) Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has paid tribute to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, saying that she struggled for democracy, people’s rights and the stability of the federation of Pakistan. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office’s media wing on Saturday, in his message on the martyrdom anniversary of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, the Prime Minister said that today we are observing the death anniversary of the great daughter of Pakistan, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
She fought an unparalleled struggle for democracy, people’s rights and the stability of the federation of Pakistan. Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto encouraged positive values like tolerance and harmony in democracy, she promoted tolerance in the political process which is commendable, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s services to the country and nation will always be remembered, the Prime Minister said that the spirit of patriotism is prominent in Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s political legacy, she took valuable steps to enhance the role of women, protect the rights of minorities and make Pakistan a peaceful, progressive and democratic state, her sacrifices and services are a beacon of light for the nation, the Prime Minister said that today we reiterate our resolve that the journey of tolerance, tolerance, rule of law and public welfare will be taken forward in Pakistan, for which Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life. He prayed that Allah Almighty may grant Shaheed Benazir Bhutto a high position in the realm of mercy and grant patience to her family and loved ones, Amen.
