Lahore (NNI) More than 5,000 cases of child abuse were reported in Punjab in 6 years. A report has said that 5,761 cases of child abuse were reported in the province in 6 years. The report said that 638 cases of gang rape of minors and girls occurred.
According to the report, out of 9,524 accused in the cases, 1,073 could not be arrested and out of 1,710 accused in gang rape cases, 258 could not be arrested. The report said that 5,756 challans have been completed in cases of minors and girls, while 518 challans in gang rape cases are complete, 334 are under investigation and one is untraceable.
