Lahore (NNI) The Lahore High Court has quashed the life sentence of a brother in the honor killing case. Lahore High Court Justice Amjad Rafique accepted the appeal of convict Ayaz Adil. The court suggested legislation to make the confession admissible.
The Lahore High Court said that the confession made before the police is not evidence under the current law, and the prosecution failed to prove murder. The court said that serious flaws were revealed in the collection and presentation of evidence. It should be noted that the Lahore Sessions Court sentenced the convict to life imprisonment.
